Student has to apply to one of the 55 state board of accountancy (50 State Boards or 5 US Territories) for CPA exams. Each state board has its own rules and students will be eligible for different states as per their education.
For all non-US education, students need a foreign academic credential evaluation to convert their education in US semester-hour terms. Student need min 120 semester-hour to sit for CPA exam.

CPA Exams
To become a CPA, student must pass the CPA Exam four-section,16 hour assessment. Student has to clear all the 4 exams within an 18-month time span. One can appear for the exams in India, Middle East, Canada, Europe & the US anytime in the year.
CPA License
To become a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), one must meet the education (150 Credits), examination, and experience requirements. All candidates must pass the Uniform CPA Examination ®.
