EXAM Information
The CMA exams are offered in the months of January and February, May and June, September and October at prometric locations in India as well.
The exam duration is 4 hours for each part. The exam part consists of objective type questions which constitutes 75% of the overall exam while the remaining 25% is in the form of essay questions
There are 100 multiple choice questions and 2 essay questions to answer
The maximum score is 500 with 360 as passing score

Step 1 the first step towards your CMA goal is to become IMA member;
- Student membership is for current students studying from an accredited College /University
- Academic membership is for faculty od accredited institution
- Professional membership is for individuals who do not fall under the above 2 categories
Step 2 Pay the exam fee and book your exams at the nearest prometric centre
Step 3 Prepare for exams with us, we make the best resources available which help you pass in first attempt.
Step 4 Candidates must have a graduation degree from an accredited college / university. Professional qualifications like CA, CWA and CS are also qualify. The education requirements may be fulfilled either prior to or within 7 years from passing the CMA exam.
Step 5 Get the required 2 years of work experience. The experience can be acquired either before or within 7 years after clearing the exams.

The scores on the CMA exam are expressed as scaled scores, ranging from 0 to 500, with 360 as the passing score and 500 as the maximum score.
Exam procedure involves the below mentioned steps
- You can register for the exam by paying the registration fee and CMA certification fee
- Once the required fee is paid, you will receive Registration acknowledgement form that will provide your authorization number, instructions for candidates along with access to the CMA exam support package
- Schedule the exam with the prometric testing centre

CMA can be pursued along with your graduation. IMA gives 7 years from the date of clearing the CMA exam to meet the remaining two requirements of the CMA certification; completing graduation and acquiring 2 years of work experience in the related field.
You must present proof of your ID for admission to the prometric center. The name on your ID must match exactly with the name on your authorization letter. ID can be a
- Valid, signed, non-expired government-issued passport OR
- Two original forms of non-expired identification, one with a photograph, both with your signature Or
- A government-issued National country ID card with a photograph (with or without a signature), and another acceptable valid form of ID with a signature.
